The Funcmat Research Group is a multidisciplinary research group at the URV consisting of researchers, chemists and engineers from the Department of Analytical and Organic Chemistry and from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The group's areas of expertise are highly varied in the field of materials, with experts in the chemical synthesis of monomers and polymers, in curing methodologies in degradable and reconformable thermosetting materials, in thermal, calorimetric and thermomechanical analysis, in characterising and mechanical modelling, in shape memory and 3D fabrication.
Funcmat forms part of the POLTEPO Consolidated Research Group recognised by the Generalitat of Catalonia and made up of researchers from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
